Gentle Yoga for all Bodies

Yoga meets us right where we are—and as we age, our bodies ask for more gentleness, presence, and care.

 

These offerings are rooted in mindful movement and choice, honouring that every body has its own rhythm, needs, and history. Whether seated in a chair or resting on a mat, these practices are an invitation to stretch with ease, breathe deeply, and connect inward.

 

For aging bodies, yoga offers more than movement, it supports balance, steadiness, rest, and the deep remembering that we are enough just as we are.

Types of Gentle Yoga I offer;

Gentle Yoga

Our gentle yoga class for seniors are a soft landing place to stretch, breathe and restore in community.  Whether in a chair or a mat I offer supportive movements, grounding breath work and space to simply be - no flexibility or yoga experience required. Classes designed for aging bodies but suitable for all ages desiring a slower, gentle practice (Ability to lay down and stand up on own is required)

Adapted Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a grounded, accessible class for those who prefer or require seated movement. Using a sturdy chair for support, we explore breathwork, gentle stretching, and mindful mobility. These classes support joint health, balance, circulation, and nervous system regulation—all in a format that honours the lived experience of aging bodies. No experience is needed. Just come as you are. During Adapted chair 1/3 of class is standing using the chair and body for support and balance.​​​​​​​​

Yin & Bliss Yoga

Yin and Bliss are slow, spacious classes focused on deep rest, gentle stillness, and nervous system nourishment. Yin invites you to soften into supported shapes and stay a while, while Bliss leans into restorative postures, breathe, and quiet. These offerings are a balm in a go-go world—inviting you to slow down, tune in, and gently unwind. Perfect for those seeking rest, recovery, or simply a pause.

Below is my current list of Public classes.  The rest of my offerings are 1:1, or private spaces and classes.

Wed / Fri - Gentle Yoga

1st Fairfield Scouts Hall - 47130 Hope River Rd

​9:15AM-10:15AM Every week. ($10 cash preferred)

Come as you are. These classes offer a gentle space to stretch, breathe and reconnect. Perfect for Beginners, Seniors or anyone seeking a slower pace. no experience needed, extra mats available 

Thursday - Adapted Chair

Sardis Senior Activity Centre - 5725 Tyson Rd

10AM-11AM Every week. ($2 cash)

​Chair yoga is a gentle, accessible practice using a sturdy chair for support, with breathwork, stretching, and mindful movement to support balance, circulation, and joint health.

Wed / Fri - Adapted Chair

Sunday - Yin & BLISS

Land Cafe & Studio - #102-45530 Vedder Mountain 

YIN 6-7:15PM BLISS 7:45PM-8:45PM ($25 or membership available, registration required as class fills quickly)

Slow, spacious classes that nurture rest and nervous system ease. Yin invites you to linger in supported shapes, while Bliss leans into restorative postures and breath—both offering a balm of stillness in a busy world.

This is a new offering beginning on The 3rd of September.

I have stopped my classes at Evergreen as well as Inner vision at the end of this month as I work to continously create spaces for accessible, choice based yoga. 

these offerings provide a low cost, intergenerational community space to rest, breathe and connect with self and others.

On the morning of class you can call my cell (604) 721-9814 my voicemail will be updated to ensure you know classes are running and inform you of any cancellations of subs.  You can also follow along on Facebook for updates by searching "The Valley Bee Yoga & Art"

Cash is preferred for this offering working on an honour system, no pre registration is required unless it becomes necessary, I will have a square payment available if you need to pay by card 

If you are able to and able bodied please ensure to fill the further parking lot less than 50m down on the same side, this is to help ensure those who need close access to the door can do just that.
