THE ONLY WAY OUT, IS THROUGH

The Valley Bee
Yoga & Art
I am an authentic, silly, and community focused yoga teacher. I also wear the hats of momma, friend, partner, daughter, lululemon ambassador, cat mom and more while I fumble through this life with as much silliness and compassion as possible.
I’m living little me’s dream life of entrepreneurship, and being a part of community surrounded by love and sisterhood.
I am passionate about many things but in my work and business I mainly focus in 3 areas. Seniors and the aging population in adapted chair and mat practices. Kids and Teens supporting mindfulness/anxiety and working in groups or 1:1 in person centered yoga and respite care. And last but certainly not least in YIN and meditation practices using Buddhist techniques and teachings, and pairing them with movement and stillness that nourishes the body.
My calling and gift in a world conditioned to hustle, produce and distract is to create an experience to calm the body and mind, to hold space and be an anchor back to the present while you let be, let go, and create space to tend to yourself the way you need on any given day.
You are safe as you are with me.
The deepest gratitude for my many, many teachers seen and unseen. I learn from every one and every thing.
With deep respect and gratitude I acknowledge the privilege it is to live on these lands. To grow and raise my children here on the unceded, traditional and ancestral lands of the Stól:lō, Ts'elxwéyeqw, and the Pilalt communities.
I hold reverence to the land that holds me, and commit to walking gently, listening deeply and learning continuously.
What is Kids Yoga?

Kids Yoga is a beginning
it's a beginning to learn how to hear our bodies messages, to decipher the language only we speak.
it's a beginning to understand how to navigate through difficult emotions in healthy ways.
it's the beginning to harness the innate ability to be aware of self
it's the beginning to learn how comforting community can be to lean on
it's the beginning of a life long journey of self discovery. One built on inner trust, rather than societal conditioning.
it's the beginning in learning to love, take care of and nurture our physical and emotional body through mindful exercises, games and poses.
It's the beginning of the realization that vulnerability is a super power.
Kids yoga is the beginning.

We are medicine for each other
like rocks turning over one another as the
river flows, polishing each other to reveal the beautiful shine under it all.
Reminders of our potential,
striving to return,
to light.
It's that simple.

Here's what the Experts say!
" A Child's Yoga Practice is a rare opportunity to experience play and focus without worrying about being wrong"
-Shana Meyerson (Miniyogis)
"Yoga helps to provide building blocks for the future, It is our responsibility to develop our children's sense of wonder and to give them strong sense of self so they know where they belong in this world and can contribute to making their community a better place"
-Christina Enneking (Heart Happy Yoga)
"Since the modern world moves very, very fast for children, it's not long before they feel all kids of personal/parental/societal pressure to keep up. YOga functions as a release valve that alleviates pressure and as a foundation to nurture and develop a resilient and resourceful mind/body and spirit"
-Alexandra De Collibus (SweatPea Yoga)
